Turmeric Tea Recipe – Haldi Chai
In India turmeric is the most important and regularly used spice. It has n number of health benefits likes it improves digestion, boost metabolism, helps prevent cancer etc. You can google for more health benefits of turmeric. Most people who are addicted to tea/coffee, in a day, they can smartly replace a cup of regular tea with the turmeric tea. And even though if you are not addicted to any of the caffeine it’s always a good habit to include some healthy beverages into your routine like turmeric tea.
In this turmeric tea along with turmeric, I am adding lemon, honey and ginger to enhance the flavour and health benefits.
So let’s start making this simple tea loaded with full of health benefits.
Serving: 1 cup
Preparation Time: 10 min
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 2 cups of water
- 1 1/2 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp lemon
- Take the water in pan and put ginger and turmeric bring it to boil.
- Let it boil till the water level comes down to 1 cup.
- Strain the tea into cup.
- Add fresh squeezed lemon and honey and stir well.

Note: Honey, ginger and lemon are optional ingredients, so you can skip any of the ingredients. But try to use all of them as it tastes good and you will enjoy more health benefits.
