Batata vada – Potato Bonda – Aloo Bonda

Batata vada is popular Maharashtrian street food. This potato dumpling is prepared with mashed potato and spices mixed to it which is then coated with besan batter and then deep fried till golden crisp.

In the south of India, they call these potato Vadas as aloo Bonda or potato Bonda but the recipe is little different and I have shared the recipe of that too, so, please do check that. Today I am sharing a very typical Maharashtrian style recipe which you can serve with hot masala tea.
